Dr. Chavira was raised in San Antonio, where his interest in veterinary medicine started when he volunteered at the San Antonio Zoo as a zookeeper volunteer. In 2007, he graduated from Texas A&M University with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science. He later attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2011. His special interests are soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and dermatology.

Dr. Chavira enjoys reading and attending Continuing Education in veterinary medicine. He enjoys spending time with his gorgeous wife and beautiful children most of all. Apart from Mexican food, he enjoys eating Korean food and visiting parks to play with the kids, and traveling to small towns. He currently has a Shih Tzu (Tushita) and a Yorkshire Terrier (Pichi), who are the best companions in the world.
